Hi,

My story started 14 years ago. I had a  hysterectomy & developed a  cuff abscess 4 weeks post-op. This led to chronic neuropathic pain. I have a intrathecal pump recieving dilaudid & bupivacaine. I also take lyrica & baclophen. I am also considered hyperanalgesic whic means i have a very low pain threshold & require  amounts of drugs to keep my pain under control. My pain management doctor has run out of options for me. I can no longer increase my pump due to severe back  spasms from the high rate of meds being pumped into my epidural space. I am very interested in stem cells. But i am unsure if it would help my condition. I've called a few clinics & no one can definetely say that they have been successful in treating neuropathic pain due to nerve injury peripherally.Except for Medra & i don't trust them. A lot of his claims are far fetched to me. I read the article by the BBC & was horrified when it was described how a nurse checked the patients blood for a match with the stem cells & did it in 5minutes. I am a nurse & donot even qualify to do this test! I even asked Medra to ask one of their clients to email me-they refused. I would like to know if anyone can refer me to a  stem clinic. I would like to try bone marrow cells for they are the only ones so far that has been proven to reverse neuropathic pain. To all of you with sci, i believe that stem cells will cure you! University of California has proved it with rats in the november medical journal! I would like a pain free life to again to be able to laugh, smile, & enjoy my family! Take care!
